When a soul is sent to Revendreth, it is because it is someone particularly prideful and sinful, who is being given one last chance at redemption before being sentenced to the Maw. When they arrive, this soul's sins will be transcribed on a tombstone-like Sinstone. If they are able to learn humility and atone for their sins, they may perhaps avoid the Maw and one day be sent to a different afterlife instead.
