One of the core paradigm changes that was announced and implemented for Shadowlands was a reduction in rewards given for completing content. This turnabout from the "loot piñata" that was Battle for Azeroth has many perplexed and chafing at the change. To add possible insult to perceived injury, when Shadowlands launched, the Timewalking raid events had not been adjusted to fit this new way of thinking about rewards and were still dropping loot at the Battle for Azeroth rate.
