The new Head units that come with Android 5.1.1 are MTCD based and not MTCB. The ROMs are not compatible with each other.
I spoke with @Malaysk regarding developing the Malaysk ROM based on Android 5 for the MTCD devices and he is ready to do it but he needs a device to test and use to develop the ROM.
With his permission I am collecting donation toward getting Malaysk a new Head unit with android 5 so he can start his work on it.
Malaysk might be able to port some of the MTCD Android 5.1 ROM to the old unit's MTCB ROM.
