Google just started a deal yesterday. Activate a Chromecast between now and the 2nd of January and receive a $20 Play credit, which can be used for apps, among other things. Worth noting, Wal-Mart, Best Buy and the Google Store are all selling these for $30 right now. Even better, Costco (and I think a few other warehouse clubs) have a $48 two pack, which comes with an additional $12 Play credit (YMMV on that, I'm still waiting for it to show up.)
