I haven't seen any mention of this yet. Walmart is now selling the Nintendo New 3DS Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle for $179.00 as a special buy. They offer free shipping or in-store pickup.

I ended up price matching at Target, but further down the page it looks like you also get a free accessory kit with the bundle as well, but I doubt that the screen protectors are sized for the New 3DS.
